The inner and outer structure of PARTHOS columns is precisely engineered to dampen sound waves across different frequencies:

High frequencies: phone calls, notifications and sounds from electronic devices.

Mid frequencies: conversations and discussions in meeting areas.

Low frequencies: background noise from the building’s ventilation, heating and air conditioning systems.
The filling is made from textile offcuts with high sound-dampening properties, while the outer cover is porous PET felt. The column’s vertical relief pattern further diffuses sound waves, providing acoustic comfort even in open-plan offices (open-plan).
The PARTHOS series offers many ways to combine elements, making it easy for architects and interior designers to zone a space and tailor the furniture to specific work processes. The columns need no special fixings, so they can be moved freely.

PARTHOS was developed with careful use of resources and circular economy principles in mind. Instead of standard polyurethane foam, the filling uses fabric offcuts left over from production. The PET felt used for the outer finish contains more than 50% recycled plastic, and overall the product consists of at least 32% recycled materials (metal, PET felt, textiles). PARTHOS columns are easy to disassemble, sort and send for recycling.
