We take pride in Latvian companies that achieve global success and put our country on the map. That is why we were especially pleased to help furnish the new office of Light Guide Optics International, one of the world’s leading optical fiber manufacturers.
Together with top professionals in the field, we created a workplace that brings together strong functionality, refined aesthetics and a bold corporate identity.
A modern workplace has to be flexible and support different ways of working. In this project, the interior design does more than look good: it also organizes how people move through and use the space.
Functional zoning: The interior uses bold, saturated color combinations. They create an inspiring atmosphere and also visually divide the space into distinct work and break areas.
Built for hybrid work: The layout supports focused individual work as well as energetic team brainstorming sessions and informal get-togethers.
The centerpiece of the office’s lounge and shared areas is a set of striking sofas from the Buddy collection by Italian manufacturer Pedrali. The collection was created by internationally acclaimed designers Manuela Busetti, Andrea Garuti and Matteo Redaelli.
Design contrast: The collection’s look is defined by a balanced contrast between a generous, soft seat and a light, slender metal frame.
Premium comfort: Thanks to a specially engineered seat construction, these pieces offer excellent ergonomics and comfort every time you sit down. They are ideal for short breaks and informal business conversations alike.
Modern office furniture is defined not only by how it looks, but also by how it is made and its impact on the environment. Sustainability is one of THOMSON Furniture’s core values, and it shaped this project as well.
For this project we selected the
Pedrali Volt chair series. These chairs are certified to the respected Greenguard standard, which guarantees that the products meet strict chemical emission requirements, supporting healthy indoor air quality and employee well-being.
A great result always comes from close collaboration between the client, the architects and the furniture project managers. We are grateful to our partners for an excellent working relationship on this project.
