Modern Design Meets Coziness at the Rīsi + Nūdeles Restaurant in Liepaja

At THOMSON Furniture, we believe well-chosen furniture can completely change the energy of a space and give guests a memorable experience. We are delighted with our successful collaboration on furnishing “Rīsi + Nūdeles”, a new, cozy Asian restaurant in Liepaja, the city of wind.

This project is a great example of how good looks and practical function can go hand in hand to deliver outstanding comfort in a public space.

A Design Transformation Built on Strong Partnership

Every successful project starts with a clear vision. Working with talented interior designer Žanete Zakovica-Ozoliņa and our project manager Santa Zeltiņa, the space went through a dramatic visual transformation.

Design inspiration: To see the full scale of the work, take a look at the restaurant’s Facebook page and compare the space before and after this inspiring makeover.

When planning the concept for the space, the focus was on durable materials and a sense of visual lightness. This helps guests feel at ease and enjoy their meal undisturbed.

The Pedrali Babila Collection: Natural Warmth and Contemporary Design

The furniture selection is defined by clean lines, natural materials and ergonomics. At the heart of the restaurant is the iconic Babila collection from Italian manufacturer Pedrali. It is a design classic that customers love and that has stayed relevant for years.

The Elegance and Durability of Ash Wood

The strength of the Babila series lies in its honesty and simplicity:

• Materials and construction: Ash wood bar stools with tapered legs and a sturdy plywood seat.

• A custom touch: Footrests finished in colors chosen to match the restaurant’s overall interior palette.

• Practicality: Easy-to-clean, hard-wearing surfaces, which are essential in busy HoReCa and other public spaces.

The light wood grain, combined with coordinated color accents, brings natural warmth to the room and creates a harmonious, welcoming atmosphere.

Designed for Lasting Comfort

Interior trends increasingly blur the line between public spaces and the comfort of home. Whether it is a modern office, a coworking space or a restaurant, the main goal stays the same: to create a place people want to come back to. The furniture chosen here offers visual appeal for design professionals and ergonomic comfort for every guest.

If you are planning a weekend getaway in Kurzeme, be sure to add this stylish spot in Liepaja to your list!
