A Functional, Welcoming Conference Room for the Norde Car Dealership

Today’s workplaces need solutions that combine a polished, representative look with real everyday function. Working with interior designer Marina Moskaļuka (MOS studio), THOMSON Furniture delivered a carefully planned conference room for Norde, one of Latvia’s leading car dealerships.

The main goal was to create a space that feels warm and inviting yet unmistakably professional. It had to reflect the company’s brand identity, support efficient teamwork and set the stage for productive conversations with clients and partners. By combining the client’s daily routines with current office design trends, we created a room where people actually want to spend time.

Zoning and Ergonomics for a Dynamic Workplace

With hybrid work now the norm, meeting rooms have to be flexible. In the Norde project, the room was divided into several functional zones, so it adapts easily to different kinds of meetings, from formal presentations to quick brainstorming sessions.

Elegance and Technology at the Meeting Table: NOVA WOOD

The centerpiece of the room is the elegant NOVA WOOD conference table (by Narbutas). This design series has earned international recognition, including the prestigious Red Dot award in the Product Design category.

• Natural aesthetics: Solid wood legs bring natural warmth and a homey feel to the room.

• Hidden functionality: A sleek wooden cover panel is built into the tabletop, discreetly concealing all the data connections and power outlets. The result is a clean, uncluttered surface during meetings.

Ergonomic Conference Chairs for All-Day Comfort

Good conversations start with physical comfort. To keep everyone comfortable through long presentations, the room is furnished with FAN chairs (by Profim).

This series stands out for its excellent ergonomics and graceful silhouette. It is one of the most popular choices among architects and designers across Europe because it fits naturally into almost any modern B2B interior.

A High Work Surface for Quick Meetings and Hybrid Work

To encourage a lively, fast exchange of ideas, the room also features a high NOVA WOOD table. This kind of workstation is ideal for:

• Short, energetic stand-up meetings.

• Working on your own while standing or perching, which improves circulation and keeps energy levels up.

• Quick phone calls or short work sessions between meetings.

The table is paired with comfortable, ergonomic Twist&Sit high chairs (Narbutas) that provide proper body support.

An Informal Lounge Area for a Relaxed Atmosphere

For casual conversations and coffee breaks, we created a cozy lounge area. It features Size Bolt designer armchairs (Scan Sorlie) paired with stylish TB coffee tables (Bejot). The space helps people unwind, sets a relaxed tone and makes room for creative ideas outside the usual work routine.
