In a medical facility, the interior plays a big part in how patients feel and in the daily work of the specialists who work there. The Health Salon in Liepaja is a great example of how furniture can be adapted to healthcare settings by choosing materials that are easy to clean and meet hygiene requirements.

Furniture for medical facilities

The Health Salon was fitted with custom furniture for medical use that keeps patients comfortable and is quick and easy to clean. The clinic interior mainly uses moisture-resistant and antibacterial fabrics, along with surfaces that stand up to disinfectants and are easy to keep clean. Thanks to interior designer Žanete Zakovica-Ozoliņa, the furniture design combines functionality with visual appeal, creating a pleasant and calming environment, which matters a great deal in a medical setting.

A well-planned, functional solution

The furniture in this project works together as a harmonious ensemble where functionality meets refined design. Every detail was carefully chosen to create a space that is both attractive and easy to use. The coffee table adds a touch of simplicity and elegance. Cast as a single piece of concrete on a central base and made from durable Caementum material, it is easy to care for and resistant to mechanical stress and moisture.

The seating solutions combine comfort with visual harmony. The Milo low lounge chair, with its upholstered seat and armrests, offers a cozy place to relax, while the Cube and Point poufs on aluminum legs are practical for public areas, adding extra seating as well as a decorative accent. The three-seat modular sofa Bail on a metal rail base brings a contemporary, elegant look to the interior, and its modular design makes it easy to adapt. Together, these pieces create a flowing, harmonious space where every item is more than a design accent: it is a practical solution that adds to both comfort and visual enjoyment.

This project shows that with a thoughtful approach and the right materials, office furniture can be adapted very successfully to the healthcare sector, providing durable and practical solutions.
