A modern workplace that adapts to people. As it should!
At THOMSON Furniture, we believe a modern office is no longer just a collection of desks and chairs. It is a carefully planned work environment that adapts to different work processes, people’s needs and the rhythm of the day. Focused individual work calls for peace and quiet, while team collaboration depends on being able to talk freely, share ideas and solve problems together. Informal conversations, quick check-ins and larger meetings each need their own spaces and furniture solutions.
We took this approach in the Ignitis renewables Latvia SIA office project, where a range of work functions come together in one cohesive, harmonious and carefully considered interior. The space is designed so employees can choose the setting that suits them best, depending on the task at hand and the type of work.
The interior is defined by:
- natural wood tones,
- green accents and
- furniture with clean, simple lines.
Together, they create a professional, contemporary environment that still feels warm and welcoming. Natural materials and the color palette set a pleasant mood, while functional furniture keeps the space practical and easy to use every day.
Creating distinct work zones played a key role in the project. Individual workstations let people concentrate and get things done without unnecessary distractions. Shared and informal areas encourage conversation and the spontaneous exchange of ideas. Meeting rooms and team areas help people collaborate effectively, with the space adapting to different meeting formats.
In our view, a successful office is more than an attractive interior. Functionality, ergonomics and the ability to adapt to people matter just as much. A well-planned workplace gives employees the freedom to choose the spot and work style that best helps them get the job done at any given moment.
That freedom of choice is exactly what makes a modern office flexible. Over the course of a day, a person can move from focused work at their own desk to a chat with a colleague, a team discussion or a meeting in another room, with no loss of work quality or comfort.
The Ignitis renewables Latvia SIA office project shows how thoughtful design, functional furniture and a variety of work zones can come together in a single, unified workplace. Here, aesthetics support function, and the furniture helps create a space that works equally well for focused work, collaboration and communication.
